Launched at callville bay and fished most of the rocky coves just outside the marina, there i found some pockets inside coves where fish would ambush my jig if positioned correctly. lighting and presentation was key, when they bit, they were quality fish but the bite was slow. 5 fish all day, each around 16inches.

Hi! I actually caught this 4 lbs. bass on a green pumpkin black fleck wacky rig. It was uplifting because before that I accidentally ran over my favorite Penn reel. Fishing is so fun, but also can be so distracting!

Early morning bite for striped bass and large mouth watch for active birds seagulls, blue Herron, white egrets, merganser, Cast swimbaits steady retrieve you might have to slow your retrieve depending if there actively feeding.

wacky rigged yamamoto 5 inch landed over 30! Large and Small mouth bass along with some black crappie were on this bite all day long. tossed the wacky rig to the rock walls and let it fall they would hit!
