Water was stained to muddy and averaged 78-80 degrees. Found most fish in shallow pockets with shad. Full moon and clear skies all night before made daylight fishing tough. Weightless Fluke fished in a cold water pattern with fairly long pauses between mild twitches drew the most strikes. They did not react to an aggressive or fast action that you would normally use in hot summer conditions. Topwater was not working -- they wanted something sub-surface.

Great day of fishing! Caught many 4 to 5 pounders. They were in big schools on the main lake points and ledges!

Had an awesome day on the water. Caught a lot in the 3 to 5 lb range. The sun was high and sucked the fish to main lake standing timber.

I fished Carr late in the evening and was getting tons of bites on a wacky rig senko but couldn’t convert. I switched over to a weightless Texas rig throwing into some thicker wooded areas and was able to land several fish.

Nichols 1/2 oz spinnerbait with Xzone Swammer trailer in bluebgill colors. Caught in thick standing timber on main lake point without grass (hard bottom) near the Old 150 boat ramp. Keeper here is 20 inches. This one was 19 inches. Only big bass of the day -- everything else was under 12 inches throwing everything in the tackle box at them.

They are a little hard to find but they will bite when you run by them with a medium depth crank bait. They also are biting on swim baits. I had luck with the xzone swammer 3.5 inch on a dirty jigs jig head. Lots of smaller fish. I did catch 3-4 that were the size of this one but most were dinks.

Was fishing around a flooded dock area. Google earth showed what appeared to be a flooded parking lot I was dragging that jig over. Water was pretty high and there were flooded trees and bushes around everywhere.
