This was the SATT TOC on Big Stone Lake. We wrapped up the tournament in third place and caught the majority of our fish in the morning on rocks with weeds. Also mixed in flipping . Later in the day we started punching matted grass up in the shallows, which had a few culls including a six pounder. End of the day with around 25 pounds for seven.

Fished the SATT Tournament of Champions out here and got 11th out of 95 boats and won $2,000 of scholarship, we ended up flipping a jig in matted weed clumps by the bank, we did not get many bites, but the ones we got were big, our biggest went 4.6 pounds, did get a couple on a swim jig, but the best bite was on a flipping jig

In 4 days of fishing there were many changes, some days they were on points in 3-4 ft of water and wanted white only with large trailers and then on other days they were tight to the bank and the trailer had to be small. Challenging lake but very rewarding when you find them. We’re seen here with our 17.25 lb bag. We also caught 25 & 26” walleyes on the same baits in our spots too.

Docks
Fish were stacked up on shallow docks. Most fish were holding right on the edge of docks, did not have to skip that far under the dock. Smaller texas rigs seemed to work better.

Fishing inside weed edges and clumps along Boulder or wood shorelines. Frogs were king but flipping and swimming soft plastics produced bites as well. Too slimy and weedy to fish moving baits or treble hook baits in most areas.
