Fish in and around the grass. Fish slow , I caught some good ones especially around Washington street. The primary pattern was crankbaits. I was originally throwing a texas rig fishing slow catching a few here and there when I had one bite reeling it back to the boat. I then made the switch to the flatsided crankbait and started waking them.

They where around 20ft deep on points close to creek swings. Dragging the Carolina rig deep and slow is the deal. I caught 32 bass most over 2 lbs my two biggest weight 5.02lbsand 4.92lbs.These wasn't the actual baits but these will work if you want to use something off this sight the reel baits was a deepthroat jigs pokestick in ticklepickle color. I was using a empire rods 7'6"medium heavy throne rod. The gear listed and linked to this sight will do a good job as well though.

Fished a club tournament with 55 anglers and finished 17th. I threw the rat-l-trap all day long. I caught a lot of little fish but the keepers came and filled my livewell. Fished over submerged hydrilla while keeping my boat in the creek channel and throwing the trap over the banks of the creek where the grass line was. You had to be persistent and keep chunking and winding. Overall it was a great day. Everything was in the Six Mile area.

They were eating the rat-l-traps today. caught probably 30 fish within a 2 hour window with some nice 2-3 lbers (x10) mixed in those 30. Reel it fast and rip it out of the grass.

Retrieving letting lure bounce of the rocks. Average of every third cast caught a fish. Left them choking the bait. Your got tire of catching fish. Lol
