1st BASS Elite on the St. Johns River - (Early February)

The fish are heavily focused on the spawn right now on the St. Johns River, it's early February, and there is a full moon in affect! I fished the tournament with two game plans in mind, the first was to target pre-spawn fish that were staged up in river bends and close to the spawning areas with a jerkbait, and the second one was to target fish that had already pulled up and were focused on spawning. Targeting isolated pieces of cover such as pads, matted vegetation, and any wood cover such as docks and laydowns or bushes. Targeting those spawning fish with a weightless Zoom Zlinky and Super Fluke, and flipping the matted cover with a punch weight or planking around a texas rig to hard cover.
