SturgeonTechniqueBobbersSeasonFallStructureDamFished an Idaho regulated setup with an 8oz weight on a 12 rod with 100lbs braid to 150lbs mono leader(rocky bottom with lots of abrasion,but could definitely be a lighter setup as well). I used cut bait and worms right below the dam. You can also occasionally find a crawfish laying around that the sturgeon will eat. When the water is high, it can be hard to keep bait on the bottom. Sturgeon in the picture was 6 and a half feet. You can also catch smallmouth here
