Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocksVery bright and sunny when we first hit the water around 5:00. Wind was sitting around 4-5mph and then picked up to about 10-12mph when we got fishing. Hit our first dock and put a 14"er in the boat on a Wacky rig and then proceeded to get no bites for a solid two hours. We found a spot in about 5' of water that had a hump of vegetation coming out of it and started casting a jerkbait around the vegetation and pulled several smaller bass and one keeper off of it. Had a lot of trouble converting hits on the jerkbait into bites. Played with some different colors but the only thing getting action was a Stunna in Shad Fillet. When it started getting darker a popper turned up a little bass, but unfortunately we were unable to get on a top water bite. Managed to get one more keeper in the boat on a wacky right before weigh in. Weights were 12.3, 8.3, 7.3 for top 3 positions.

Largemouth BassTechniqueNed RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationWent out for the madden voyage on a buddies new boat and decided to do a little fishing while he was working out the kinks. Water was pretty warm, constant 15-20mph wind. We just drifted down the east side of the lake. I caught a couple on a Berkley Jack. My teenager destroyed the adults throwing the NED the whole time.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureOpen Water/BasinWater temp was running 53.5-55.7 while we were out. Was decently windy out of the west (7-10mph). Early catch in open water on a jerkbait. We eventually found a pattern of throwing into the dark spots in 4-5' of water and ripping a bait through it (frittside). Otherwise the ned rig was pretty productive for smallies as well. Probably only caught one keeper out of the 8 bass we caught. Lake definitely seems to be in decline.
