Once the sun comes up high, it seems that the fish are moving to rough 7-10 ft of water on points and sand bars. At this point, put the buzz bait down and pick up a chatter bait.

Tough fishing for big bass in the backwaters unless you can find some left on bed. Fish left on bed are in less than a foot of water. Up river should be getting good soon. once water temp rises a few more degrees there should be more fish wanting to spawn. Wacky rig everything above the long bridge, chatter bait and swim jig everything below. hitting fallen trees and points with a big white spinner bait #6 gold blade can trigger some big bites this time of year.
