I spoke with someone at the dock as I was getting off the water and I wasn't the only one experiencing a slow bite. The guy I talked to said it best: "The weather is just too good today". As for fishing, I mostly stayed on the west side of the lake and even fished the Huron river at one point. After trying a few things I ended up using the classic texas rig most of the day. Black and blue is what I stuck with mostly and I was able to get a few bass in the boat in the time I was out there. The bass seemed to like to hang out in the 5-7ft range for most of the morning. I also got to try out my new Pfluger Patriarch that I got from the sale Omnia had. I'm really impressed by how smooth and secure the reel feels in hand.

Got 2 at the French Landing Park dock. Both were on the tree side.

Fishing the Lower Huron River South Park. Cut the worm into a few pieces as it was a bit big for the fish there. Worked great.

Cut a Berkley gulp nightcrawler down for a better hit ratio. Worked fantastic on a #8 Aberdeen dropshot.

Poked into the little cracks and dropouts by the dam mouth, and this guy just slammed it.

More cut down worms on a drop shot. Windy day didn't let me get the cast far from the bank, but the little bass were still in the weeds around the docks.
