I caught several bass up to 17", then the 18" shown in the video SMACKED my whopper plopper and ran for the bottom, got tangled in weeds and I had a ton of fun getting it to the surface and in the net.

Fished a point that was rimmed with Lilly Pads. The Bass were in a school and I pulled 3 bass in this area including the 19.5" TANK shown. The setup in the report boated over 20 bass on the day.

I fished Bello Lake 3 times while on my 2022, July 4th vacation. A Whopper Plopper helped me catch over 10 in one hour one day. Another day I used Yamamoto Senkos to fish the edge of pencil reeds. This is a beautiful lake with lots of Largemouth bass.

I was able to fish Bello Lake on 2 consecutive days with low to no wind. I found lots of Largemouth bass outside the lily pads that line the outside of the lake out to 16 feet of water. I used a Phantom Shad Whopper Plopper on the overcast days I fished. I caught lots of 14 to 17 inch bass. My largest over 2 days was a 18.75" tank. The action was crazy FUN! Lots of top water blowups!

I fished late afternoon to dusk. The bite was hot from 4:30 to 7:30! I caught 13 bass and 5 pike and lost more. The Z-Man Big Blade Chatter Bait was popular. In calm areas, the Whopper Plopper 90 Loon color generated strikes. Bello Lake has a healthy population of bass and pike. There is low motor traffic most times I am there. Many times, I am the only one on the lake. It's a favorite of mine when I'm in the area with my kayak. Check it out!

Casting the Whopper Plopper right up to the edge of the pads, into open pocket areas, or parallel to the edge of the pads produced lots of blow ups from bass and pike! The action accelerated and the bite got hotter when the sunny morning turned to overcast skies. That accelerated the feeding frenzy!

Woohoo! Caught some Toads kayak fishing on one of my favorite Minnesota Lakes. The hits just kept coming on this day.

Top water was the ticket today for me. Threw the same Frog and bone colored Whopper Plopper all morning for steady action. The biggest was this 19.5" 🐷 🥳 📣
