Fish caught were actually chain pickerel. Worked 5" t-rigged around matted grass and pad patches fairly rapidly using a twitch and pause retrieve to get pickerel's attention. Pickerel would chase bait from within weed patch and even adjacent patches with lots of v-wakes on the surface. Was hoping for bass but still a fin outing with several aggressive pickerel caught.
