Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationIt was a pretty good day of bass fishing. Most of the fish were in 10 to 12 feet of water on isolated weed clumps. We also found them off drop offs on the outside edge of the weedline.

I caught 20 bass both shallow and deep on wacky and Texas rigs. Green Pumpkin 5 inch Senkos worked great. I targeted submerged vegetation on shallow flats and drop-offs.

I caught 12 bass working the weeds in 10-12 feet of water. The water temperature was only 70F. As usual, there were a lot of bass in the 12 inch range.

With the air temps cooling off overnight, the bass wanted nothing to do with the DTs, instead preferring the smaller profile of the shad dancer.

Pike, Bass, and even a sunfish that had no business attacking it. The cooler temperatures overnight meant downsizing in baits and the gold flash and vibration around submerged vegetation in 7-14 of water did the trick. No monsters, but I will take a busy multi species day all day.

The fishing was very similar to last week. Most of my fishing was done between 4 and 12 feet of water. Bass were really relating to underwater cabbage. Drop offs and flats above drop offs were productive. Wacky rigged Senkos produced the most bites.

The bass were in submerged vegetation in 7 to 8 feet of water. I used wacky rigged Senkos and landed 24 bass. Green pumpkin black flake, purple pearl blue flake, and pumpkin black flake all worked.

Slowly work along weed lines, it was windy as all heck, so I just lined my boat up and let er drift. No need to cas except after reeling in the fish.
