It's not uncommon here to bring your ice rod and spot lock in 11-12 ft to vertical jig with tungsten jigs tipped with eurolarvae or small pieces of crawler and catch 100 perch/bluegills in a 5-6 hour setting. Schools keep coming through with consistent action and most of the perch were in the 9-10" range and bluegills 8-9" with some occasional big 10"rs! Of course, regular panfish rods work just fine, however we found we were getting right back down to the action quicker with this method and catching more fish than the other boats around us. We dropped down to the bottom and only reeled up once until later in the day we noticed the bigger marks were higher in the water column so we reeled up further. If you are panfishing fanatic, this lake will not disappoint!

Slug them out up shallow. This lake is full of grass, docks, and good rock. Pick up a flippin' stick and keep it in your hand.
