Big Stone was an incredibly tough bite today. Big cold front moved through the night before. Sunny skies and little wind. Weed mats are thick and getting to be pretty choked. Kept to the southern part of the lake as the further north we moved, the worse the algae bloom got. Really struggled to find Largemouth today. Broke out the punchin gear to hunt through weed mats but had little luck. The most prominent fish we caught were white bass. They were after the chatterbait on the outside weed edge. The panfish in the photo went for a wacky rig. Left the legendary lake somewhat disappointed after all the good reports I've heard. That said, I think we were just there on the wrong day.
