- Species
CrappieTechniqueIce Fishing JigsSeasonIceStructureSubmerged VegetationFishing in about 12'-14' of water. About any color of small jig and plastic worked great, I used a tiger with a small white plastic. Fish are constantly moving, if you are able to find them you can get some decent crappie, perch and gills.
- Species
Panfish / BluegillTechniqueVertical Jigging Mid Depth (10-19')SeasonFallStructurePointsIt's not uncommon here to bring your ice rod and spot lock in 11-12 ft to vertical jig with tungsten jigs tipped with eurolarvae or small pieces of crawler and catch 100 perch/bluegills in a 5-6 hour setting. Schools keep coming through with consistent action and most of the perch were in the 9-10" range and bluegills 8-9" with some occasional big 10"rs! Of course, regular panfish rods work just fine, however we found we were getting right back down to the action quicker with this method and catching more fish than the other boats around us. We dropped down to the bottom and only reeled up once until later in the day we noticed the bigger marks were higher in the water column so we reeled up further. If you are panfishing fanatic, this lake will not disappoint!

Had to cover alot of water to find one but when i did there was a few around. Reaction bite was key, bouncing your bait off branches and sticks was the key to getting bit.

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureRock PileRight away in the morning I found a few groups of 2-4 fish swimming around on an offshore rock area. The 110+1 was key as I was fishing in 8-12 feet.

- Species
White BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBouldersThe whities were schooled up by big boulders in 7-9 feet of water. These things slackline a jerkbait year round, which makes them fun to target. they taste great too! Big Stone has no shortage of them either.
