This time of year the water is muddy, brown, has debris and no clarity so so bright lures and rattlers are key. I was fishing just off of a small rock reef where a small emerging weed flat existed and was casting in 5-6 feet of water.

Ran into some crappies while bass fishing and had a blast. I was scoping small pods of fish in 5-7 feet around scattered boulders. Super fun to catch them on moving baits!
