Had a great popper bite with the new Chubbs popper. I replaced the rear hook with a #6 feathered treble because I just like having that movement when the bait is at rest. Focused on shade lines with submerged weeds. Pretty much any areas that had gills nearby would produce a bite. I also caught a couple on a Spro Bronzeye frog when I got around some thicker vegetation as well.

Another hot weekend on the jerkbait. About 18 bass & 10 crappie. Three slab crappies and three bigger bass. Two 2.25lbers and one nice 3.39lb 19" bass for my new PB. The big three bass were all on the Jackall Rerange 110 RT Perch. Throwing jerks as close to grass as possible and working them aggressively back to the boat with variable pauses. Natural/shiny colors definitely played better. I tried throwing an elegy bone 110 later in the morning and only caught a small walleye. Gill/minnow colors with some shine were the money baits.
