Found stripers, largemouth and smallmouth cruising the channel of the lake suspended. I was able to catch a few fish on the hair jig one was a 3.75 pound smallmouth and 21 pound Striper throwing hair jig in front of them.

I was searching for roaming bait chasing fish. I ended up catching and releasing this BIG and beautiful 22 1/4" trout and I also caught a channel catfish too. It was a great day on the water!

The bass were hitting up close to the shore on black buzzbaits and shad colored swim jigs in protected coves on the main lake. I also noticed that most of my bites came in the afternoon.

The shallow back bays protected from the wind we’re not working. There was a wind blown bank with drift wood, stumps and some rocks. I made pitches to everything giving the pit boss a few hops at each then repeating. I started picking up some large mouth. Nothing huge but, still a great day out on a tough lake.
