Early morning able to throw a Zman Jackhammer with a Big Bite Baits Kamikaze Swimon around submerged vegetation (water is waaay up). As morning progressed and visibility increased, switched to a Biffle Bug on a hardhead around rock and brush piles to catch post-spawners and some leftover spawners. Caught a random White Bass on a Spro Rock Crawler while trolling to the next spot.

Weather was overcast and rainy for a long part of the day (a rarity in CO). Water is extremely low, about 6-10’ low from typical. Got out after work and put in the kayak. Caught three right off the bat on a 100’ stretch of large rock. Fish were just a couple feet off the 45 degree bank. Had to run the Jackhammer super slow to get them to eat it. Had 86” for my best 5 in half an hour of effort. Managed a few other fish off of various structure/cover, but the larger ones came off the rock. Anytime it’s overcast in clear water, bust out your favorite moving bait and get to work! The new Kamikaze Craw by Big Bite Baits is my new favorite Jackhammer trailer for a craw or bluegill imitation. Goes on easy and the flappers provide great water movement without affecting the action of the blade.
