TechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureStanding TimberTodays fishing was super rough we got to the lake around 12:00 pm. After we launched our boat, I skipped a floating worm up under the boat ramps dock and worked it slowly out. Unfortunately, I was not paying attention and missed the fish right at the boat ramp! We ended up working our way down the banks fishing and ended up finding out that a few fish that hadn't spawned yet had moved up and were on beds! All the bed fish we saw were on some sort of point or shallow flat. Most of these fish were very finicky but I was able to get one to bite but every time I got him to the boat he would pop off! so I went offshore and managed to catch one on a medium diving crankbait. after that everything died down and I was not able to catch anything else! I did notice that the first wave of bluegill had started to spawn so in a few weeks there should be a good population of shallow bass feeding off the bream beds!
