This lake is a 9.9HP max or Idle Only for big motors with a 15" slot limit This means the bass must be 15" or larger to keep and in our case 15" or larger to weigh in. With warm water temps the bass are getting lazy. Today's water temperature was 76.8 degrees. You have a good feeding window early in the morning and then you must work for the fish. I figured out the bass and you need to find offshore structure. This lake isn't crazy deep. most of it is around 12-15' deep. I used a Berkley Money Badger in the FX Shad. It's a very natural color and would dive to the target 13' mark. I was able to crank deep structures and generate some nice fish. I ended up with 7.4 lbs. and won the tournament with 2 fish 15" or over.
