Chased a punch bite all afternoon without any success. Threw a spinnerbait and Senko around without any luck in the tulles as well. It wasn’t until we started burning a red squarebill against the riprap that we started catching fish. You really had to reel as fast as you could and we caught over 30 fish in about an hour and a half before dark.

The crankbait bite was definitely on today. And when they hit, there's just no doubt. The KVD 2.5 Squarebill was perfect for the situation...and the Fire Craw pattern is always a good bet! I would line up about 10 feet off shore and cast laterally to the shoreline. As soon as that crankbait started bouncing on the rip rap, hold on! I was also having some great success with a Texas Rig in slightly deeper water. (10-15 feet)
