TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructurePointsEvery time I go to the Delta...all I can think about is having an 8+ pounder just crush a Strike King Rage Bug as I flip it into the endless cover out there....but not today. I did however have some pretty good success with a Texas Rig and a blue craw Senko in 10-15 feet depth on any distinct river turns or points. No big'ns to brag about....But there's always a way to find fish out there...

TechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSummerStructureReedsCaught some nice largemouth on frogs over the past few weeks. Need to get the frog as close to the reeds near points as possible. The best for me has been the Spro and Terminator brand popper. My new gen4 Revo SX handled the heavy braid and fish with no issues. Omnia has always offered the best pricing and quick delivery.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureBrush PilesAs usual...I threw a little bit of everything today...and as usual, my success turned on dramatically once I pulled the Strike King arsenal out. It was so hot out that I think the fish either went deep or pulled up into shady spots. I was pitching a Texas Rig Rage Bug (PB&J) into the alleys and nooks in the heavy grass areas. Or I could also cast a Neko right on the outside of the grass line with an Ocho (Big Tex). I just slowly cruised the banks, going back and forth with both and had myself a day! No big'n's to brag about, but plenty of 1-2lb fun the entire morning.
