Finding beds hidden in the holes in matted vegetation and dropping the drop minnow as close to the fish as possible was key to catching these very skittish bedding bass.

Ended up fishing my first club tournament on this day, and ended up locking a texas rigged craw in my hand all day just pitching it around looking for big pre-spawned bass. On back to back flips, I hooked 2 fish over 5lbs, lost one at the boat because it went under and broke the line on the rub rail, then I landed this beauty.

The bass were a little jumpy so try to stay back from them. Drop the worm or lure right in front of there mouths.
