As the lake rises in the spring follow the river channels up the lake. Steep ledges make for deeper water fast and throwing a spinnerbait is a great way to intercept bass when they are on the move.

Look for steep ledges close to shore where a bass could ambush bait fish. Keep on the lookout for shad busting indicating activity. Make long casts and walk the bait at a rapid pace.

Many of the permanent docks provide great cover for bass if they remain in the shallow waters. Throw the jig all around them, there is no wrong place to throw a jig. Black/Blue is a standard color.

During the summer, bass like to hang out on the shade side of docks throughout the day. Black/blue or Brown colors seem to work best. I like throwing with a craw trailer.
