Largemouth BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Large)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationPre-spawn, shallow water, big swimbait and big bass. Getting back into the warmest water in each creek and slow rolling a magdraft over submerged hydrilla was the most productive. Not a ton of bites but the ones I got were the right kind

Largemouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationBass are pre spawn and starting to move up. There are still some fish deep, but they are starting their push shallow. Spinnerbaits around new growth grass and stumps around the banks are producing. Water temps are ranging from 59-65, with warming in the shallows during the day. water is still slightly stained and slowly clearing. Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are working well, fish them slow, near the bottom and bump cover to get strikes.

Largemouth BassTechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureStanding TimberFish are current in spawn, beds are popping up everywhere in the 2-3 ft of water. Just look for holes in the grass to start. The sleeper craw ended up getting the biggest bass today with a 4.5 lb. The water a little color to it today, so it made it hard to see some of the beds that fish were holding on. Likely these are just early spawns. Did get a couple bites as well on the Megabass 110 +1 on the deep trees standing at the mouths of the spawning flats.

On a black and blue jack hammer with black and blue flake rage craw trailer. She was in the back of creek. All the fish caught were in backs of the creeks. One was caught on the Bronco Bug. Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureStanding TimberMake lake who's were hovering around 62. We found a good number of large bass in the backs of the creeks. The water temp was 66 in the backs. Throwing close to cover, we were able to get them to bite with the Bronco bug texas rigged. Water was still dirty but it had cleared up a bit

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureStumpsWater is still stained but clearing slowly, 48-51 degree water temps. Fish are still staging but some have moved up with the water and are hanging on the stumps and tree lines near the backs of the creeks. Some fish are still out deep and can be caught on Alabama rigs and heavy jigs on the deep railroad and road beds as well as deep tree lines in the creeks. Fish the deeper structure and tree lines early and as the day warms move shallow and flip cover. Also try a lipless crankbait, chatterbait or squarebill in the shallows.
