Largemouth BassTechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonWinterStructureMatted GrassThe frog and toad bite is still going on. Covering water is key. Find the mats with popping bait fish. Work the mats slow. As long as water temps stay in the 50 degree range and bait stays in the grass this bite will continue.

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonWinterStructureLaydownsI fished Cedar on 1-14-2021. Partly cloudy skies. Air temps were high 30's to mid 40's. Wind S/SW 10-15 mph. Water temps were 39-41 with 4 feet of visibility. The jerkbait was key. I focused on secondary points, outside grass lines and laydowns. The fish were high in the water column so a jerkbait that suspended in the 5-7 foot zone was key.
