Used a swimjig while searching for better grass. Once we got bit on the swimjig we slowed down and flipped the submerged grass. Had about 15#s but caught 20-25 fish on the day.

4-7 feet of water, late afternoon, water temps between 77-79 degrees, varying speeds

It seems like the deeper you go, the better chance at some keeper Perch or some Walleye. 20-40 feet of water depending on the exact spot seems to be the best place to go.
