Most of the bass this time of year are on beds up shallow. There are going to be some bass in pre-spawn and some in post-spawn too, but look for shallow, protected areas where the fish can spawn. If you see any panfish beds, chances are you can find some bass roaming around those too. Texas rigs and weightless flukes are my favorite ways to target these shallow fish, but a drop shot is great if they're being finicky.

I swapped out the factory hooks on the choppo bait to mustad alpha point hooks. These things come super sharp and are really strong.
