Caught three little largemouth. Nothing over 12 inches. Pitched the worm on a rocky point later in the morning and caught a smallmouth about 2 1/2 pounds. Then the pontoons and ski boats came out and I had to go.

Fished Bfl as a co-angler launching out of the Dam ramp. Ran about 3 miles east of the 25 e bridge and hit flats and secondary points. had a few early blow up on the shower blow but could not hook up. Caught 2 keepers on a Terminator spinnerbait with Keitech trailer. Caught 4 short smallmouth pitching the spinnerbait to the bank near laydowns and brush out of German Creek near the marina.

Targeting moderately slopes banks where fish were staging on rock and gravel transitions is critical to unlocking the prespawn bite on this lake. Crawfish are the primary forage on these types of banks and make an amazing prespawn snack for bass of both largemouth and smallmouth varieties.

Fish in heavy cover on main lake rock banks. Caught four nice ones in this and one when a school was busting shad on top.
