Happened upon a huge school of what I presumed to be Cisco in a wind-blown bay we fished on Saturday. Saw the school on side-scan, stopped, put down the Lowrance Active Target2 Forward Facing Sonar and captured an amazing scene published in this video https://youtu.be/bJLoXoNNLcA. We had some of the best fishing all year. This was a feeding frenzy for predators of all species. We know because we caught individuals of almost every predator present in the lake on this spot in 30ft of water. Smallmouth and Largemouth bass, Walleye, and Northern Pike. But the fish definitely had preferences for certain types of baits and they were picky. We had to switch things up a lot and even get creative like presenting a ned rig on a Damiki rig like presentation which worked for several catches. Other times, they'd like the robo worm on a dropshot. Then they'd get sick of that, and want a little minnow plastic on a dropshot, then they'd get sick of that and want the roboworm. So on and so forth. So you have to be ready to try a lot of things and maybe even go back to the original later.

Found matter grass in deeper reeds. Fish were eating it on the fall.

Best fishing on rocky points. Topwater in the morning was a blast.
