Using my Omnia C-Map to find hard bottom areas, I targeted specifically those areas that had a ledge. Then I would cast around and quickly determine if the weeds were still healthy in the area, and when so there would always be active, aggressive 2-3 lb bass and pike. Most of the time the boat would be in about 10-12 ft and I would cast up into 4-7ft.

Fish were up on the deeper sides of the reed islands chasing bluegills around. Was throwing the chatterbait parallel to the sides of the reed islands that were the deepest and would slow it down in high percentage spots.
