Cast outside of the reeds just off of a ledge as the sun is setting and the (eater-size) walleyes love the underspin. Caught some baby largies too. For the trophy walleyes, I recommend the jackhammer chatterbait around the same structure.

Fish were up on the deeper sides of the reed islands chasing bluegills around. Was throwing the chatterbait parallel to the sides of the reed islands that were the deepest and would slow it down in high percentage spots.

Mid September on Clearwater, the grass looks great, bait is all over. And fish are doing lots of different things. The most consistent bite was flipping 3/4oz BassTEK Grass Jig with a Baby Dbomb trailer in 8-12ft. We also picked off quality fish on Frogs, Buzzbaits, Jigs and Stick worms over the grass flats, around matted grass, emergent vegetation and some docks. Keep on the move, the bass & pike are biting!

Find the steep transitions/banks. Wherever you can find deep weedlines next to steeper banks. Pull the neko rig down the steeps into the weed lines you'll find the bigguns.

Docks
Clearwater is usually a hit or miss the last few seasons. One of your best bets if you want to have an overall decent day is to hit as many docks as you can! Docks play a huge part in your success on that lake especially with haze in the morning, or high sun throughout the day. Run to the reeds and look for the reeds with the tightest clumps, and I feel most of the better fish ambush around these larger clumps/walls of reeds. The best bite used to be the milfoil bite, but over the last few years most of the milfoil has been sprayed and killed, thus bass spreading out a lot more all over the lake instead of schooling up.
