Tossed around an old Rapala fat rap and found some schools, then camped on them with curly tails and stick baits and put some fish in the boat. Flip a jig in for a big bite if you land on a big school.

Fished in a Slay Nation event today and had to change up my approached after conditions made my prefishing irrelevant. Spent the morning fishing Reed bed edges with deep drops and just couldn't find them...switched it up and head to the other side of the lake to get out of the morning wind. Fished the edge of Reed, cattail, and lilypad mixed beds in about 1'-5' of water with a Buzz baits and a YUM toad trailer. From 11am to 200pm caught about 60 fish casting the edges of theses mixed beds. Tons of smaller bass 12"-15" and was able to cull out a 5 fish bag of 83" with the largest being 18 3/4"....it was grind but a lot fun fishing a full day of topwater..

Wind was pushing pretty strong. Finding reeds that dropped off fast and had some weeds around. Flipping and retrieving very slow helped. Natural colors worked best.

Fished in the rain this morning and caught a ton of fish...buzz baits in the rain produced the biggest and most fish by far. Large mouth and pike. Casting the Reed bed edges and over the top of cabbage patches....
