as of the end of March walleye have still not copleted the spawn season. A few males caught had milt actively spewing. Bite was not great but nice activity with a few bonus crappie, white bass and even a smallmouth shows that the fish are actively using the new warm water heated by rocks and wind at the dam. #9Berkley Flicker Minnnow was an ambitious target for a young walleye in 2nd pic.

Found so open water roaming fish and was excited to catch this nice 22" walleye along with some crappie, white bass and a bonus +/_ 5# hybrid striper. Even the cold 38 deg. water didn't stop these fish from eating

Had to try January open water fishing. I figured it would be slow but was pleasantly surprised by a 1/2 dozen of these 2 pounders. No boat battling when water and air temps are below 40:-)
