Largemouth Bass
TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureReedsCaught a few decent fish on the Crush City ned. The bite was light so I slow played the ned while sight fishing. Would eventually get bit after aggravating the fish enough. The 3lb fish in the photo was a good fight on the spinning gear. 😉

Panfish / Bluegill
TechniqueBobbersSeasonSummerStructureDocksHigh seventies outside, very sunny day. Bass and Pike were few and far between but the bluegill were schooled up. Caught 35 or so on Berkley gulp and a very small hook. Loads of fun out in the kayak!

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationWarm party cloudy day. Bass were active and after faster moving baits. The jackhammer with blade minnow trailer came through as usual. Landed 5 fish over 3lb. 5 fish bag of 15lb 6oz. Not a bad day fishing from shore! Weeds are starting to get thick here but I was still able to work the chatterbait through. I'd bring some weedless options as well though as the weeds continue to come in thick.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureMatted GrassGot an hour in after work today. Very windy. Had a little action by using a weightless texas rigged trick stick. Throw on the edge of grass mats, twitch and let sink. Usually will get bit on the fall.

TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationBass weren't as active today. Caught a few pike in the mix as well. Weeds are getting thicker but I'm still successful pulling a chatterbait through them. Also had some success with a Ned rig today.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationSunny day and very warm. Slight breeze. Found many spots where the fish were piled up but it took effort to get them to strike. A bit later in the day, they turned on a little more and I caught a couple nice bass on the jackhammer (including the 3lb bass in the photo).

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationNot going to win any tournaments with my bag today. 😅 Fish were just not having it. Clear skies and muddy water. Had to put in work for each bite. It was clear that finesse was the way to go today with the wacky rig producing the best.
