During the last few weeks in May some bass are spawning and others are done. With water in the 60-65 degree range, target bass in the shallow weed flats with a chatterbait. Look for bedding flats located in shallow bays usually 2-6ft deep with sparse vegetation and hard bottom. If you can find the beds the bass will be near. Cover a lot of ground in these bays and flats and you should have a decent day with the chatterbait as the main lure of choice. Switching to a swim jig if the weeds are dense and the chatterbait is getting hung up can help get a few more bites. You can also throw a spinnerbait in this situation as well if you are more comfortable with that over a swim jig and a chatterbait.

The Landing on the north bank on the ease portion of the lake has a nice little area to fish right near it. Fishing 10 ft or less and burning a chatter bait with erratic movements.. can pick up a few fish doing that. I've also had success as well with Tokyo rig with Bandito bug in this same area. Bounce this up off the bottom as well as just a slow retrieve.
