White BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureLedgesWe focused below the dam by the ledge. Lots of shad swimming around. Water was stained and little flow. Whitebass was scattered and small. Average about 11 inches. Once the buffalo's started hitting the whitebass shut off. It was fun targeting Buffalo on plastic and light tackle. Water was still cold to the touch. Give it another week or two and it'll be prime time.

Largemouth BassTechniqueUnderspinsSeasonSummerStructureRip RapFalling water temps and lower water levels made it difficult to find quality fish, but I managed a few early. I also caught 5 or 6 drum. One of the keys was adding a Picasso underspin harness to add a little flash in the dirty water. This was my first time at Coralville, so I was just happy to catch a few fish.

CrappieTechniqueVertical Jigging Shallow (0-9')SeasonFallStructureRip RapCrappie schooling around balls of shad, look for the birds, shad imitation crappie jig can be fished under a bobber to stay closer to the surface or without a bobber to fish closer to the bottom for bass and walleye

Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonFallStructureBouldersI took the win in the 6th IKFC tournament today. The key was to cover water. The fish were up very shallow. I was casting at the rock banks and working the bait over the tops of rocks. Many bites came after popping free from the rocks.
