TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructurePointsIn the summer (water in the low 80s), start at the back of the creeks. The baitfish transition to this area which draws the predators. You might mark fish on the bluff walls, marina and channel ledges but, today, the larger fish were active in the backs of the creeks. Pitch or flip a Texas rigged ribbon-tail into brush piles, fallen trees and the large rock formations in 6’ of water or less. Sometimes you can find grass to swim your bait through but it’s not a guarantee.
