When fishing coontail and other vegetation clumps, cast senko onto mat dragging it back to edge and stop to let settle through water column if bass or pickerel didn't bust bait when it came off edge. Also skipped senko into trunk of laydowns and under overhanging brush and fish would take bait during the fall.

Fished Neko-rigged, 5" red shad senko along outside edge of beds concentrating on irregularities (small weed points, laydowns, rocks or pocket edges. Made short casts allowing worm to hit bottom watching line for sudden stop (twitch) or sideways movement. If worm made it to bottom, worked back with hopping retrieve. 11 bass and two pickerel (caught on spinnerbait) during couple hours on the water.
