For the drop shot I use a power minnow and for the Tokyo rig I use either a Pitboss (any craw will work) or a swim jig plastic. Present the Tokyo rig with a slow hopping motion.

Make sure to cast way back in some of these because the bass will push up shallow and sit in the shade. Also throwing a frog around docks can produce bites.

find weed edges in 10-15 feet and sitting back from them and cast up into the weeds and work your jig back to you. Also throwing a swimbait along the weed edges will produce bites.

During the spawn you cannot fish shallow enough. Work a ned rig until you find a school of fish. Then work the school with a senko.

Water temp in the mid 60s with air temps variable throughout the day. Started the day side scanning for hard bottom along inside weedlines. Caught a few popping a football jig around these areas but fishing isolated rock in the 2-7ft zone off the bank with a compact football jig was the juice. The best bait for me was the black magic queen tackle tungsten peanut football jig with either a trd or a gambler bb cricket on the back.

Both Ned Rig and drop shot produced fish. Worked the inner weed edge which varies from 3'-6'. The water is quite clear on this lake so right now it is fairly easy to see the weed line.

Water temp in the low 60s with air temps around the same. Hammered good numbers of fish with a 110 jr scanning for hard spots along inside weedlines, lots of the better largemouth are keying in on the bluegills that are pulling up to these hard spots to spawn. Also caught some fish cracking a shorty tube on these spots after I worked them throughly with the jerkbait.
