It was very windy and the day started pretty cold. Fishing wasn’t any better very slow. The bass seemed to be spread out and catches seemed random. Managed to catch a few in one of the channels and then finished the day catching my two largest in a flat with submerged vegetation. Caught a handful of pike as well.

Fish were spawn to post spawn fry guarding. Lots of bass chasing bluegill around. Slop was hard pushed along the shorelines and bass would attack the frog on slop. Don’t underestimate the power of a frog for fish spawning under mats. Also caught fish over a shallow early pad field with the buzz bait. The thicker the weeds the better strikes.
