A texas rigged plastic is a staple come mid-summer on most Minnesota Lakes. Fish it around weedline edges, bare spots in the grass, up shallow around pads or pencil reeds and even flip it around docks. It'll come through heavy cover and produce some of the biggest bites you'll see all year. It's also very good for catching numbers of fish.

Fished shallow for largemouth. Had a few blowups on frogs in the pads but no hookups. All our fish came on jackhammers on weed edges.

Find docks that have are not choked with weeds that hold bluegill or are creating a lot of shade. Slowly work the dock by making flips to cover the whole area under the dock. - Derian G
