This trip I ended up catching around 30 bass in a 3-4 hour time frame. I found one brush pile that produced my biggest bites of the day, one being over 5 lbs. Any football jig paired up with the Strike King Scound bug is a perfect trailer to mimic crawfish and bluegill.

We ended up catching close to a hundred fish throwing a bit of everything around grass and off the edge of the submerged grass. My main bait was a jig while my dad stuck with a drop shot and we were able to put 13 and half pounds on a place where that doesn’t happen to many times. Caught a few on a chatterbait as well. Finding the active fish around bluegill was a big deal for finding the better than average sized bass. Caught fish all over the lake so it wasn’t just one spot where we caught majority of our fish.
