TechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureRiver ChannelsDouglas Lake has quickly become my favorite Jig lake. Douglas is absolutely full of bass and even on this cold morning we were able to fire up some fish on the blue/black jig! This trip was a grind, but nothing else would put quality bites in the boat like the jig. There is not another reel like a Shimano Curado DC, on the jig bite you need a high speed reel to pick up the line. TechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureBrush PilesHard fishing with the water being about flood stage and with all the rain in the areas that come into Douglas. I think if they lower the lake back to summer pool the bass should start the biting again .
