Outing was Friday, May 2nd, weather was heavy clouds to clear at the end of the day. Temp was very cool and very windy. Highs in the mid 50s. Water temps were from about 53 to 57 at the warmest. This was also a practice day for a bass tournament that we were not conpeting in, so lots of boats on the lake. We tried to find the warmest water and caught a few small bass throughout the day. Unfortunately we weren't able to find a pattern and bites seemed random. Also tried to fish a bit deeper outside of spawning areas and had no luck. Bites were mostly had during the cloudy weather. Overall, it was a very tough fishing day.

Found a good school of largemouth right as you get into east. Caught 3 of em and then a wake boat drove over their heads. Just keeping the minnow above their head was key because they were feeding up.
