Water was about 48 degrees in mid april and we found the largemouth up shallow warming up in the shallow water as the sun came out later in the day. Found them on the jerkbait on the pause and even found a pair of decent largemouth super slowly rolling the hair jig real shallow. Little single tail grubs on ball heads found a few perch and a few bass too.

Fished in the afternoon on a relatively windy day. Began the day in the Northwest corner of the lake targeting weed edges on drop offs at 10-15'. A mix of crappie and bluegill were present, but if you allowed the bait to drop to about a foot off the bottom, you were almost guaranteed to hit crappie as the bait moves through the weeds. It is necessary to pick through the small ones to find keepers, but there are plenty of great fish to be had.
