TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged Vegetation8/21/2022: We caught a bunch of quality smallmouth and a few quality largemouth. The smallmouth were feeding on craws and the largemouth were chasing bait out a bit deeper. The majority of our fish came in 3-6 ft of water. The thicker the vegetation the thinner material bait id use to get more hook penetration. Black and Blue was the color of choice. The water was stained and that darker presentation made for more bites. We did not catch the numbers we normally do on Enemy Swim, but we had a phenomenal day for quality with our best 5 weighing in at 18.30, which was good enough for first place.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationI had success catching smallmouth as well as my personal best Northern Pike on Enemy Swim this past week. The water clarity is quite good and was having some success using small swimbaits. Fish were cruising along weed-line edges, and edges of reed clusters, in the middle to bottom of the water column. You can get good success with a small swimbait like a small spark shad or a zman minnowz on a small jig head.

TechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSummerStructureDocks8/14/2022: The bite on Enemy Swim is good, but inconsistent. We caught slightly below average numbers, but high quality. We covered a lot of ground with a Rat L Trap and Spinnerbait, but once the sun came up the dock bite was on fire. We found multiple docks that reloaded with high quality fish. The fish were aggressive and would hit anything that could be skipped under a dock. We caught both largemouth and smallmouth, with an average fish of 2.75 - 3 lbs.
