The fish are very tough to catch and it is not taking much weight to win the tournaments down there as of lately. Docks have fish on them if you want to get bit but the bigger fish are deeper. The only bad thing about deep is they may be there one day and gone the next, or they aren’t there good at all.

They may be there one day and gone the next but these tecniques seem to be working. Look for shad anywhere from shallow to deep. A drop shot has been effective but a spoon and a swimbait have worked as well. You might catch a bigger one on those two if the drop shot is not triggering them.

I fished a dropshot around isolated wood on tapering points in clear water from 8-15ft. Submerged laydowns and brush piles. I also fished shallow rock piles and road beds in 3-6ft using a 3/16 shakey head. I used a combination of hbird 360 and Livescope to target the fish and cover.

Found the biggest group of bass on ledges ranging from 8'-25' in cleaner water, Arron's Magic worked best in the mornings the switch to Margarita Mutilator on the drop shot once the sun got brighter in the afternoon . In the dirty water was flipping buckbrush with a Berkley Pitboss, bass was mainly on points with deep water near by.
