Got most of my bites bumping the chatterbait along the rocks and burning it by grass. Lighter colors work great and you want a trailer with lots of action. The more water you displace the better.

Throwing a heavy jig with a pointed head was crucial for getting down into the grass where the fish were.

I went out to the lake around 4:00 so the sun was still high but there were solid shad lines. Skipping a smaller jig into bank cover got me a few nice bites.

Skipping/pitching under docks was really effective for me at this lake. You want to thow a bait that creates a good vibration and is also in a dark color like Junebug so the fish can see it in the muddy water.
