They were crushing topwater that day, and I even had some fun on a fly rod. Not only were they hitting the spook, but also crushing the Berkley popper and the Cornerstone Baits Big Swift. My daughter, age 5, caught some on a senko, bright pink, of course with her pink Zebco.

Quick trip out to celebrate the birthday of the United States Marine Corps. This bass hit the jig hard on the fall. They were swiping at the top water lures really hard, but weren’t committing. Any time I can get out by the water I’ll have a good time, fish or no fish!

Went out to catch a few pre spawn bass and found a great topwater bite around some brush. They were also biting a Texas rigged stick bait, which made for a really great time.

She was hiding under the trees and came up to crush the bait. Fish are definitely in full on pre-spawn mode. They're also loving the underspin with a keitech swimbait trailer.

Threw a glide bait for the first time today and got a bite right away. The fish are getting fat for the spawn, so I like to use either small baits or large baits, not too much in between. Fishing has been great the past few days, so get out and fish!
