Largemouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonWinterStructureRip RapGot out in the kayak for a few hours in the Concord area. The fish were VERY tight lipped with the calm winds and bluebird skies. Managed to nab a few decent bass in the 2.5lb range cranking rock and gravel banks that were on the sunny side of the lake. If the crankbait wasn't dredging bottom, they wouldn't bite. I spotted many bass holding near bottom near bait schools unfortunately I never found any that were feeding. A little wind or cloud cover would have helped the bite all around.

Largemouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonFallStructureBrush PilesFind flats on the edges of the main channel that has grass. There is still grass and bass navigate to where there is grass left. Use a 6:8 reel and run the spinnerbait over the grass and let it fall when the grass ends. The bigger bass are on the bottom.

Largemouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonWinterStructurePointsWe are experiencing extremely warm temperatures for early November here in East Tennessee: We managed to get out for a 6 hr trip and had a great day, catching 40+ with 11 keepers. Several things lined up perfectly: the lake is dropping and had good current. With these conditions that positioned the bait and fish at easy targets around points and breaks. We caught on multiple baits, war eagle spinnerbaits slow rolled, little John crankbaits, and war eagle jigs. Boat poison and casting was critical in all techniques. #Omnia Fishing #East Tennessee Guide Service

Largemouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonFallStructureShadFishing the Tennessee River on Ft. Loudon Lake near Knoxville, TN continues to be very productive for numbers but quality fish have been hard to come by over the past few weeks. With fast falling water temps the fish seem to be scattered but the most productive areas continue to be shallow cranking and top water near or around schools of bait. The major creeks seem to be the best but occasionally find them in shallow pockets with bait. The Berkeley Choppo has been the bait of choice followed up with the Frittside shallow crank bait. We have been averaging 20-30 fish a trip on most days running shallow water throughout the day focusing on schools of shad, bait. Follow us on facebook at East Tennessee Guide Service.

Largemouth BassTechniqueNed RigsSeasonWinterStructurePointsSpent a lot of time fishing shallow points, locating bait! Started fishing moving baits but switched to plastics! Ended up catching a few on NED rigs using either the Riot Baits Baton cut short to about 4" or Z-Man TRD on a Woo Tungsten 1/4oz Ned Head. All fish came at the first drop in about 8-10ft of water. Caught 3 doing this, 2 smallmouth and 1 Largemouth, all were around 14" in length.

Also tried the Hybrid Hunter again to get better at figuring out retrieve speed and such. Caught 1 short and 1 keeper.
